Mission and Background Story
Zero City is an interactive and challenging exhibition, covering 1,200 square meters, where visitors will come together to plan the transportation of people and goods in the fossil-free city of tomorrow, in order to achieve climate goals.
The creative team at Sprees was tasked with producing several interactive stations for the exhibition, and one of them was the playful dancing game ”The Park.” Make the boring gray parking lot green and make trees grow by dancing to Edvard Grieg’s ”In the Hall of the Mountain King.”
Interactive Playful Dance Station!
I was part of a creative team that produced an interactive module for the Technical Museum’s exhibition ”Zer0 City”.
At the Technical Museum in Stockholm, you will find this interactive station that consists of playful dancing where visitors make trees grow by dancing the ”right” steps on dance mats. The more arrows and steps you hit correctly on the dancing mat, the more your tree grows! Choose your color/leaf on the dance mat and see your matching tree grow up! If all trees succeed in reaching full size ”Harmony,” extra sparkles and lights will appear on the projection screen.

My Role
My role in this project consisted of designing the 3D environment in Unity.
My tasks also consisted of creating the game concept and designing the looks of the different trees and leaves.
A big part of this interactive solution was also to user test and dance, dance, dance! It was of great importance to match the steps and arrows to the music, making it possible for the exhibition visitors to have a fun time and make the trees grow!
